These easy and delicious Turkey Cheese Sliders are packed with lean ground turkey, melted cheddar, and baked to golden perfection on buttery slider buns perfect for parties, snacks, or family dinners.
Ingredients
1 lb (450g) ground turkey (93% lean)
12 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls or brioche)
6 slices cheddar cheese (cut in half)
1 small onion (finely diced)
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
2 tbsp butter (melted)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet, sauté diced onion over medium heat until soft.
Add ground turkey to the pan along with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until fully browned.
Slice slider buns in half and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
Evenly spread the cooked turkey mixture over the buns.
Layer cheese slices over the turkey.
Place the top buns on the sliders.
Brush the tops of the buns generously with melted butter.
Bake uncovered for 10–12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and tops are golden brown.
Serve warm and enjoy.
Notes
To keep sliders juicy, avoid overcooking the turkey. For a flavor twist, use pepper jack or provolone cheese. These sliders can be prepped a day in advance and baked just before serving. To make it spicier, add diced jalapeños to the turkey mixture. For a slider bar, keep the cooked turkey warm in a slow cooker and serve with various toppings.
