Description

Crispy, golden-brown Parmesan Crusted Chicken with a crunchy cheese and breadcrumb coating. Juicy, flavorful, and easy to make for any meal.


Ingredients

Chicken breasts 2 large
Parmesan cheese grated ½ cup
Panko breadcrumbs ½ cup
All-purpose flour ¼ cup
Eggs 2
Garlic powder 1 tsp
Paprika ½ tsp
Salt and black pepper to taste
Olive oil for frying 2 tbsp


Instructions

Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness and season with salt pepper and garlic powder
In a shallow dish place the flour In another bowl beat the eggs In a third dish mix Parmesan cheese breadcrumbs garlic powder and paprika
Dredge each chicken breast in the flour shaking off excess Dip into the beaten eggs then coat with the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture pressing firmly
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat Cook chicken for 4 to 5 minutes per side until golden and crispy or until internal temperature reaches 165°F
Remove from pan and let rest for a few minutes before serving

Notes

For a baked version preheat the oven to 400°F place the coated chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 20 to 25 minutes flipping halfway through
For a low-carb option replace breadcrumbs with crushed pork rinds or almond flour
For extra crispiness use freshly grated Parmesan instead of pre-packaged cheese
