Honey Pancake

This honey pancake recipe is light, fluffy, and naturally sweet. It’s made from scratch with pantry staples and real honey. Perfect for cozy breakfasts or brunch, it’s quick to prepare and a hit with the whole family.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 8 pancakes

Ingredients

Scale

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
3 ½ teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon white sugar
¼ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1 ¼ cups milk
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 large egg
2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

Sift together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, egg, and honey. Create a well in the dry ingredients and pour in the wet mixture. Stir gently until the batter is smooth but not overmixed. Preheat a lightly oiled skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Pour ¼ cup of batter per pancake onto the hot surface. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, until bubbles form on the surface and edges are set. Flip and cook until golden brown on the other side. Repeat with the remaining batter. Serve warm with extra honey, fruit, or your favorite toppings.

Notes

Let the batter rest for 5 minutes before cooking for fluffier pancakes. Avoid overmixing to maintain light texture. You can add cinnamon, banana slices, or blueberries for flavor variation. These pancakes freeze well and can be reheated in the toaster.
