How to Make Ground Chicken Buffalo Bowls

Spicy and savory ground chicken buffalo bowls featuring firecracker sauce, broccoli, and a touch of honey for a balanced 20-minute meal that’s both fiery and comforting.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 3 servings

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground chicken

2 tbsp avocado oil

2 cups chopped broccoli

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 tsp paprika

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp pepper

½ cup buffalo sauce

3 tbsp honey or brown sugar

3 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp rice vinegar

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

1. Whisk together buffalo sauce, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger in a small bowl.

2. Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sauté the onion until fragrant.

3. Add ground chicken and cook until browned and no longer pink, about 6 minutes.

4. Add chopped broccoli, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir and cook for 2–3 minutes until slightly tender.

5. Pour in the buffalo sauce mixture, stirring until all ingredients are coated and the sauce thickens.

6. Remove from heat, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, and serve over rice, quinoa, or lettuce wraps.

Notes

This dish reheats beautifully for meal prep and can be customized with your favorite veggies like bell peppers or snap peas.

Substitute ground turkey or tofu for a lighter variation.

For extra heat, use spicy buffalo sauce or add chili flakes.

Serve with jasmine rice for comfort or quinoa for added protein.
