Description
A warm and cozy easy sugar-free chai latte made with black tea, almond milk, and stevia for a comforting, low-calorie drink that’s perfect for any time of day.
Ingredients
2 Tazo Chai Organic tea bags
1½ cups boiling water
⅔ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or low-fat milk of choice)
1 packet Truvia or preferred natural sweetener
Dash of ground cinnamon for topping
Instructions
Steep the chai tea bags in boiling water for 5 minutes in a 16 oz mug.
Warm the milk on the stovetop or in the microwave until hot but not boiling.
Add 2 tablespoons of warm milk to the tea and stir in your sweetener.
Froth the remaining milk using a frother, blender, or shake in a jar until foamy.
Pour the frothy milk over the chai mixture in the mug.
Top with a dash of ground cinnamon and enjoy immediately.
Notes
Use caffeine-free herbal chai like Bengal Spice for an evening version.
If you don’t have a frother, blending warm milk in a blender for 30 seconds creates excellent froth.
Stevia, monk fruit, or erythritol can be used as sugar substitutes.
For a keto version, substitute almond milk with full-fat coconut milk and add MCT oil.
