2 tbsp brown sugar
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp ginger, grated
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
2 stalks green onions, chopped
1 tsp sesame seeds
2 cups cooked white rice
1 tbsp vegetable oil
Optional Additions:
Red pepper flakes (for extra heat)
Kimchi (for a tangy side)
Carrots or bell peppers (for added crunch)
Fried egg (for a rich, creamy topping)
Instructions
Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess grease.
Lower heat to medium and stir in minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add soy sauce, brown sugar, gochujang, and sesame oil. Stir well to coat the beef evenly.
Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Serve over warm steamed white rice.
Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
Enjoy immediately!
Notes
For extra spice, add red pepper flakes or extra gochujang.
Use ground turkey or chicken for a leaner alternative.
Pair with kimchi or a fried egg for additional flavor.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
