Description

These rich and fudgy chocolate avocado brownies are a healthy, gluten-free dessert made with ripe avocados, cocoa powder, and almond flour.


Ingredients

2 ripe avocados, mashed
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup almond flour or oat flour
⅓ cup maple syrup or honey
2 eggs or flax eggs for vegan option
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup dark chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mash avocados until smooth.
Add eggs or flax eggs, maple syrup, and vanilla extract to the mashed avocado and stir until combined.
Mix in cocoa powder, almond flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir until a thick batter forms.
Fold in chocolate chips if using.
Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan.
Bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
Cool completely before slicing into squares and serving.

Notes

Use flax eggs for a vegan version (1 tablespoon ground flaxseed + 3 tablespoons water per egg).
Oat flour can replace almond flour to make it nut-free.
Top with extra chocolate chips, coconut, or walnuts before baking for added flavor and texture.
Let brownies cool fully before slicing to get the cleanest edges.
