Ingredients
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (or almond flour for low-carb)
1 egg, beaten
1 cup breadcrumbs or crushed pork rinds
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon paprika
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional: chopped jalapeños, parsley, or chives for added flavor
Instructions
Combine shredded cheeses, flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
Add any optional mix-ins like jalapeños or herbs.
Form the mixture into small bite-sized balls.
Chill the cheese balls in the freezer for 20 minutes to help them firm up.
Dip each bite in beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumbs or crushed pork rinds.
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat oil if frying.
For baking: Arrange bites on a lined baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden.
For frying: Heat oil to 350°F and fry each bite until crispy and golden (about 2–3 minutes per side).
Let cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.
